Wieke started to write songs with the late great musician Elfa Secioria in 1985. Since then she has developed a great reputation in the Indonesia music industry through her lyrics writing. She possesses a unique ability to tell relevant stories in a heartfelt manner that touches the soul of the listener. This almost always results in award-winning, and chart-topping songs, which have been heard internationally. When she was asked how many songs had she wrote, she could not answer because she never had proper documentation of all her songs. Her form of documentation is a box full of cassettes, CD, music notations and lyric notes on loose papers.

In 2006 she realised that if she didn’t start documenting her songs, not only she will forget about them but also the public. The long journey then began. From converting all her music into mp3 format, re writing all the lyrics, collecting all the old pictures and calling several people in order to retrieve old information, both published and unpublished.

Digitising all the information, structuring the content – music, text, images – into one comprehensive web resource was the best decision. Everything is documented, all lyrics are completely written, the singers who sang the songs are acknowledged and public knows who wrote the songs they listen on the radio or TV. Most of all, awards won in the past are also recorded as well as the related publication.
